OUR PASTOR
Bishop Rory C. Baker is the presiding prelate and senior Pastor of Fruit of the Spirit International Ministries. He is the husband of First Lady, Minister Melissa Baker. They have seven wonderful children. He is the son of the founders of Fruit of the Spirit Ministries, Apostle Horace C. Baker and National Mother, Evangelist Betty J. Baker.
He shows his congregation and anyone he comes in contact with, the true meaning of love, hard work, dedication, perseverance, and how to stay committed to the process.
With the Lord being his helper, he also is a covering for ministries in Greensboro, Charlotte NC, and Memphis Tennessee. His vision is continuing to manifest and grow the body of Christ.
He is the true definition of a Survivor.
OUR CHURCH
On December 17, 1972, the Lord gave Elder Horace C. Baker, the vision to organize a ministry which was entitle "Youth Movement for Christ". The church was located in Hampton Homes of Greensboro at that time and only had eight members on the roster. Determined and not discouraged, Elder Baker joyfully accepted the Lord's commission to "go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel...."
As time progressed, Elder Baker and his wife, Evangelist Betty Baker, faithfully continued to labor in God's vineyard. Through the need to broaden the ministry, the Lord instructed Bishop Baker to change the name of the church from Youth Movement for Christ to "Fruit of the Spirit Holiness Church" (Galatians 5:22-23). He was shortly thereafter, ordained as a Bishop.
On June 26th, 2011, Bishop Baker installed Elder as Rory C. Baker Sr. Pastor. He is now the Bishop and Presiding Prelate for our Ministry.
